In the Hong Kong Premier League on Saturday (April 26), Kitchee returned to their home ground at Mong Kok Stadium to secure a 3-1 victory against HKFC, despite initially trailing in the match.
Kitchee found themselves behind just three minutes into the game when HKFC converted a penalty to open the scoring. Kitchee managed to level the score in the 20th minute. Luís Machado delivered a corner from the left, which Dantas headed home to equalize.
As the match progressed, Lam Jordan Lok Kan made a strong run into the box, but his shot was saved by the HKFC goalkeeper, and the first half ended 1-1.
After the break, Kitchee continued to face pressure, but goalkeeper Fynn Talley was pivotal in keeping the score level. Both Kam Chi Kin Jason and Fernando had chances on goal, but their efforts were thwarted by the opposing keeper. In the 75th minute, Kitchee finally took the lead when Luís Machado crossed from the right, allowing Fernando to head in.
In the 88th minute, Chen Ngo Hin set up Júnior, who calmly evaded a defender and finished to seal the 3-1 victory for Kitchee.
