On Sunday (14 Sep), Kitchee faced Eastern District at Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground, managing to secure a narrow 1-0 victory despite playing most of the match with one man down.

Kitchee started the match aggressively, actively seeking scoring opportunities. In the 25th minute, a defensive error led to a red card for captain Tan Chun Lok, leaving Kitchee with only ten players. The first half ended goalless.

After the break, Kitchee brought in tall defender Kam Chi Kin Jason and switched to a three-man backline. Despite being outnumbered, they created several scoring chances, with Ruslan Mingazov frequently delivering crosses from the right flank, but Kitchee struggled to find the net.

In stoppage time, Mingazov again sent in a cross from the right. Substitute Lam Jordan Lok Kan attempted a shot at the far post, but was fouled by an Eastern District defender, leading the referee to award a penalty. Leandro Martínez stepped up and successfully converted the penalty, giving Kitchee a 1-0 victory and all three points.
