Kitchee showed plenty of the fighting spirit to come from behind and draw 1-1 at Tai Po on Saturday afternoon (18 Oct).

Kitchee struggled to create scoring opportunities, and just before halftime, Leandro Martínez attempted a shot from the edge of the box that hit a Tai Po defender's hand. The referee reviewed the video and confirmed a handball in the penalty area, but the decision was overturned due to an offside in the build-up involving Adrián Revilla. The first half ended in a stalemate at 0-0.

After the break, Tai Po intensified their attack, and in the 63rd minute, Tai Po's Michel Renner score with a close-range header, putting Kitchee behind 0-1. Just four minutes later, Yumemi Kanda delivered a cross from the right, and although the Tai Po goalie Tse Ka Wing got a touch, Revilla reacted quickly to score, leveling the match at 1-1.

Kitchee continued to search for the winner, and in the 72nd minute, Tai Po's Law Chun Ting was sent off, leaving Kitchee with an extra man. Júnior then received a clever pass from Kanda and found the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside. In stoppage time, Dantas had a free kick from the edge of the box saved, and neither team could find another goal. The match concluded with a 1-1 draw.
