Kitchee fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Eastern District in the HKPL U-22 League on Wednesday (January 28).

Kitchee struggled to find their rhythm early on, conceding in the 19th minute following a clinical counter-attack. Opportunities remained scarce throughout the first half, with Kitchee’s first attempt arriving in the 28th minute when Seb Buddle, playing as a makeshift center-back, fired his effort over the crossbar.

The introduction of second-half substitutes injected more energy into the attack. The best chance for an equalizer fell to Yuen Chun Him in the 58th minute, but his deflected shot was safely gathered by the keeper. Despite the late pressure, the match ended in a 1-0 loss. Kitchee currently sits third in the table with 21 points after 11 matches.
