Kitchee U18 earned a hard-fought 4-3 victory against Eastern U18 in last Friday’s (March 6) HKPYL fixture.
The teams were level 1-1 at the interval after Yiu Tsz Leong’s opening goal was cancelled out by an Eastern penalty. Although Kitchee conceded twice in the second half, they responded with three late goals in five minutes to reclaim the lead. The comeback began when Li Siu Hin converted a penalty to reduce the deficit. Just two minutes later, Pang Hing Lun drew Kitchee level with a 30-yard free kick into the top corner. Li Siu Hin then secured his brace three minutes later, finishing a cross from the right flank to seal a dramatic 4-3 win.
The positive results continued across the academy age groups. Kitchee U16 defeated Eastern U16 with a 6-0 win on the same day, led by a Kris Suratkal hat-trick. On Saturday (March 7), Kitchee U14 also recorded a 4-1 victory against Lucky Mile U14.
