Kitchee ended a seven-match winless streak in the HKPL U-22 League with a clinical 5-1 victory over Kowloon City on Sunday (March 15) at Hammer Hill Road Sports Ground.

The deadlock was broken in the 14th minute when a well-timed interception from Lam Tsun Wing fell to Matthew Slattery. Slattery played a return pass to Lam, who composed himself to slot the opening goal into an empty net. Nine minutes later, a Kowloon City clearance deflected off Thurain Tun into the path of Slattery; the forward beat his marker before finishing coolly to double Kitchee’s lead. Kitchee stayed on the attack, with Tse Hin Tao scoring in the 34th minute and adding a second just five minutes later following an assist from Lam.

Leading 4-0 at the break, Kitchee remained in control despite conceding from a corner in the second half. Chan Shing Chun marked his return from injury with a tidy finish from inside the box in the 88th minute to wrap up a convincing 5-1 win.
