Kitchee U16 secured a 3-1 victory over Lee Man U16 in the Hong Kong Premier Youth League last Friday (March 13) at Shek Kip Mei Park.
Eric Ji gave Kitchee an early lead in the 7th minute, and the team held a 1-0 advantage at halftime. In the 59th minute, Jonas Lam Ka Fung doubled the lead with a strike from the edge of the box. Eric Ji then headed in his second goal of the match in the 75th minute to make it 3-0. Although Lee Man managed to pull one back, Kitchee stayed in control to finish the game with a 3-1 win.
On the same day, the match between Kitchee U18 and Lee Man U18 was postponed due to poor pitch conditions.
Meanwhile, Kitchee U14 earned a hard-fought win in their rescheduled match last Tuesday (March 10), beating BC Rangers U14 1-0. The decisive moment came late in the game when Tong Yu Shun found the back of the net to seal the victory.
