Kitchee secured a vital three points in the "Battle of the Blues" last Saturday (March 21), coming from behind to defeat Eastern 2-1 in the Hong Kong Premier League. The match began with Kitchee on the front foot as Asier Illarramendi and Tan Chun Lok both registered early attempts from inside the box. However, Eastern soon settled into the game, limiting Kitchee’s possession and capitalising in the 21st minute to leave the hosts trailing 0-1 at the break.

Seeking a spark, Kitchee introduced Adrián Revilla and Kam Chi Kin Jason at the start of the second half. The tactical shift paid off as the pressure mounted, leading to an equaliser from Leandro Martínez, who beat the goalkeeper to a through ball from Revilla and chipped it home. In the 78th minute, Illarramendi intercepted a pass and found Revilla, who clinically curled the ball into the bottom right corner to seal the victory. With this crucial 2-1 comeback win, Kitchee maintains their hot form in the league as the Club secures another essential three points.
