Kitchee are set to face BC Rangers at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground in the final match of the Hong Kong Premier League's first phase on Sunday (April 12).
A victory for Kitchee will officially crown them the 2025/26 HKPL Champions. Despite the potential title celebrations, Head Coach Iñigo Calderón is keeping his squad focused on the task at hand. "For us, it’s a game of three points to play for”, Calderón noted. "I understand the fans may treat this as a special one, but we will plan the game exactly the same way”.
While he acknowledges the weight of the moment for the supporters, his focus remains strictly on the pitch. "Hopefully we can give [the fans] something. We know it will be a difficult game, but that doesn’t change our mentality too much. That’s it. Three points more”.
