Kitchee concluded their HKPL U-22 League campaign with 3 points, securing a 3-0 victory over Eastern at Kowloon Bay Park on Monday (April 27). With this result, Kitchee finishes the season in 5th place, accumulating 29 points from 8 wins, 5 draws, and 5 defeats.
The starting lineup featured Jay Haddow, Matthew Slattery, and Thurain Tun. Kitchee took an early lead in the 10th minute when Liang Kui Chung found the back of the net with a well-placed header. The momentum continued in the 20th minute as Li Siu Hin delivered a precise cross from the left, which was finished by Matthew Slattery to double the lead before halftime.
In the 74th minute, Thurain Tun added a third to top off a dominant performance, sealing the 3-0 win.
Kitchee will now turn their focus to defending their title in the HKPL U-22 FA Cup. Their journey begins on May 6th against BC Rangers, where they aim to secure a spot in the semi-finals.
