Kitchee were defeated 0-3 by Tai Po in last Saturday’s (May 2) HKPL fixture.

The squad continues to be hampered by injuries and suspensions, with a total of six players unavailable for selection. Academy graduates Chan Shing Chun and Lam Pak Yin started their second consecutive match.

It was a difficult start for Kitchee, as Tai Po struck in the 3rd and 13th minutes to claim an early 0-2 lead. Kitchee showed more attacking intent after the interval, but attempts from Yumemi Kanda and Júnior failed to trouble the keeper. Kitchee conceded a third in the 67th minute, resulting in a 0-3 loss—the first time the team has failed to find the back of the net in any competition this season.
