Kitchee U16 were crowned Hong Kong Premier Youth League U16 FA Cup champions after an emphatic 8-0 win over Lucky Mile U16 at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground last Friday (19 June).
They made a blistering start, taking the lead after just three minutes when left-back Chuin Him Ching Curtis broke into the box and squared for Eric Ji to tap into an empty net. The advantage was doubled in the 24th minute as Hugo Recio threaded a through ball for Tam Chun Hin, who outmuscled his marker before finishing.
Tam struck again in first-half stoppage time, cutting in from the right and firing home from a tight angle, while Lam Ka Fung Jonas also found the net to give Kitchee a commanding 4-0 lead at the break.
Kitchee maintained their intensity after the restart, with Ji scoring twice within four minutes to extend the lead to 6-0. On the hour mark, Ng Yat Long delivered a cross into the area, and Lam headed home ahead of the goalkeeper. Lau Wing Hei Wyndon added an eighth late on to complete the rout.
Having already secured the league title earlier, Kitchee U16 completed a domestic double with the victory.
