Kitchee U18 lifted the Hong Kong Premier Youth League U18 FA Cup after defeating Eastern U18 4-0 in the final at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground last Friday (19 June).
They took the lead in the 15th minute when Cheung Yiu Hin delivered a cross from the right, and Yiu Tsz Leong rose to head home. The goal proved enough to give Kitchee a 1-0 advantage at half-time.
The lead was extended in the 60th minute following a well-worked move on the left. Ma Lok Sephrey combined with Li Siu Hin before crossing into the box, where a partial clearance fell to Yan Hei Yin, who squared for Cheung to finish and make it 2-0.
Kitchee added a third in the 81st minute after a flowing move down the right. Cheung set up Lam Pak Yin, whose cut-back found Yiu, and Li applied the finishing touch. Substitute Lo Chun Hei made an immediate impact, scoring in the 85th minute with a first-time strike from Lam’s cross.
The victory sealed a comfortable 4-0 win, and, having already won the league title earlier in the season, Kitchee U18 completed a league and cup double.
