Kitchee kicked off their pre-season campaign on Wednesday (29 July), scoring two goals in each half to secure a 4-0 victory over Prime Bangkok FC.
The Blues fielded two completely different lineups across the two halves, with new signings Everton and Marcos Santos starting in the first half. The deadlock was broken in the 38th minute when Adrián Revilla chested the ball into the path of Cheng Chin Lung, who threaded a pass to Everton. The winger then rounded the goalkeeper and slotted calmly into the net. Just four minutes later, a well-weighted pass from the left flank by Lam Jordan Lok Kan set up Cheng to double the advantage, sending Kitchee into the break with a 2-0 lead.
Kitchee unveiled an entirely new XI for the second half, featuring debutant Dudu alongside young striker Ma Lok Sephrey, who appeared with the First Team for the first time, partnering new signing Koldo Obieta in a two-man attack. In the 81st minute, Ma dispossessed a Prime Bangkok FC defender and set up Obieta for his first goal for the Club. Obieta then completed his brace in the 88th minute, converting a ball from Júnior’s to seal the 4-0 victory.
