Kitchee suffered a 0–2 defeat away to Thai League 1 side Ratchaburi in a pre-season friendly on Friday (31 July).
Kitchee came close to opening the scoring in the 18th minute when Dudu’s through ball found Everton, whose subsequent effort struck the post.
Kitchee were punished in the 35th minute when Ratchaburi scored from a corner. Kitchee then came close to equalising when Junior delivered a cross from the right, but Lam Jordan Lok Kan’s effort at the far post was saved. Ratchaburi doubled their lead from a free-kick in the 43rd minute, sending Kitchee into half-time 0–2 down.
Kitchee made 11 substitutions at half-time and regained control of the game after the restart. However, despite Marcos Santos heading over from Kendy’s corner, Kitchee were unable to find the net and ultimately suffered a 0–2 defeat.
