Kitchee continued their winning momentum with a commanding 3-1 victory against Kwoon Chung Southern at the Aberdeen Sports Ground last Saturday (September 12).
Kitchee started the match with high intensity, threatening early in the first half. Adrián Revilla came close with a sharp turn and shot inside the box, followed by Asier Illarramendi’s towering header from a dangerous free-kick, though both efforts were denied by the opposition goalkeeper.
The breakthrough finally arrived in the 25th minute. Revilla turned provider, delivering a precise pass to Ruslan Mingazov, who cleverly controlled the ball with his right foot before coolly slotting it home with his left to break the deadlock. Kitchee doubled their advantage just before the break in the 41st minute, when Mingazov chased down a throw-in to deliver a pinpoint cross from the byline, allowing Junior to slide it in at the far post, securing a comfortable 2-0 lead at halftime.
Kitchee continued to press after the interval. Kendy saw his strike ruled out after Everton Camargo was judged to have been in an offside position during the build-up. The visitors eventually extended their lead to 3-0 in the 87th minute, as Camargo turned provider with a cross that found Revilla, who stylishly backheeled the ball into the net.
Despite Kwoon Chung Southern pulling a goal back just a minute later to ruin the clean sheet, Kitchee comfortably held on to their lead to claim a deserved 3-1 away win and secure all 3 points.
