Kitchee will face Eastern in the first round of the League Cup tomorrow (26th). Kitchee will be without 7 players due to Hong Kong, China Representative Team call-ups, alongside 4 players out with injuries. Head coach Iñigo Calderón hopes that players who previously had fewer minutes on the pitch can seize this opportunity.
Calderón said: "Obviously, we could make excuses, but the game is scheduled and we have to face it. It's a great opportunity for the younger players and those who have played less to step up, as they have been waiting for this chance. We will simply try to compete with the players we have available."
