Kitchee U18 suffered their first defeat of the season last Friday (2nd), falling 0-3 to Lee Man U18 in the Hong Kong Premier Youth League at Kowloon Bay Park. Meanwhile, Kitchee U16 cruised to a commanding 5-0 victory over Lee Man U16 at the same venue, securing their third consecutive win of the campaign.

Kitchee U18 started the match with high intensity, actively searching for an early opener. In the opening exchanges, Lam Yat Sen connected with a precise pass from Ma Lok Sephrey and drove into the box, but his powerful effort agonisingly rattled the crossbar. As the first half progressed, Kitchee U18 conceded twice through defensive lapses, heading into the break trailing 0-2.

After the interval, the young Blues made tactical adjustments in pursuit of a comeback. Early in the second half, Ma Lok rose highest to meet a cross, but his header went just over the bar. Unable to reduce the deficit, Kitchee U18 conceded a third goal later in the half, ultimately enduring a 0-3 loss.

In the U16 clash, Kitchee U16 dominated from start to finish to claim a 5-0 win over Lee Man U16. Raphael Yuan broke the deadlock in the 14th minute to give the team an early lead. Lam Ka Fung Jonas then doubled the advantage in the 26th minute with a close-range header, before Sin Chon Hei Nuno  struck a brilliant long-range effort in first-half stoppage time to make it 3-0 at the break.

Kitchee U16 maintained their relentless attack in the second half. Lau Hin Yau produced a sensational solo run down the left flank, weaving past multiple defenders before slotting home from a tight angle to extend the lead to 4-0 in the 69th minute. In the 76th minute, Lam Ka Fung stepped up to convert a stunning free-kick he won himself, sealing a comprehensive 5-0 victory for Kitchee U16.
