Kitchee narrowly defeated HKFC 1-0 on Wednesday night (October 7) in the HKPL U-22 League at the Jockey Club HKFA Football Training Centre.
Kitchee named six U-22 players in the starting lineup, featuring Tuscany Shek, Liang Kui Chung, Yan Hei Yin, Li Siu Hin, Cheung Yiu Hin, and captain Chan Shing Chun. They were complemented by five U-18 prospects. Kitchee broke the deadlock just two minutes into the match when Li Siu Hin initiated a swift counter-attack and played the ball to Ma Lok Sephrey. Although Ma's initial effort was saved, Li Siu Hin was quickest to react and slot home the rebound to put Kitchee 1-0 ahead. Both sides exchanged attacks for the remainder of the half, but neither could find the back of the net before the interval.
In the middle of the second half, Ainikaer Maihemuti was introduced, alongside U-22 substitutes Tse Yin To and Lo Csun Hei. Despite further chances created, the scoreline remained unchanged, and Kitchee successfully held on to secure a hard-fought 1-0 victory.
